Paper 3.0 – The new sticky note
Creator(s) / Founder(s) :
What it does:
Paper is a new iOS app that can replace your Moleskine. It is the best way to capture and connect your notes, photos, and sketches.
Why you need this:
If you’re looking for a productivity app for your iPhone/iPad that will allow you to create checklists, spotlight details in photos, and sketch diagrams with unbeatable speed and ease — Paper 3.0 is the one for you.
The idea behind it.
Paper 3.0 is poised to be your content creation and idea incubation app. It’s all about simplicity over everything else as it doesn’t bombard you with distracting buttons and other stuff. Rather, Paper 3.0 indulges you with a no-frills canvas, in Retina display, of course.
What Bob likes
It looks good and I love the style of the drawings.
What it doesn’t have or doesn’t do
No Mac app. No Android version. Also, in iPad, portrait mode does not work.
Bob Mini Review
Paper is free to download in the App Store, that’s why Bob did not bother to give it a try. Bob said that Paper 3.0 is designed to do its general purpose out of the box, a writing app with lots of cool features, with the free Draw tool. Additional tools are available via in-app purchases for $1.99 each: Sketch, Write, Outline and Color. Just so you know, these tools are named after their functions rather than their actual names. Meaning, fountain pen for Draw, pencil for Sketch, ballpoint for Write, marker for Outline, and paintbrush for Color. All these tools can easily be brought up and hidden if need be. Paper 3.0 has lots of sharing options, led by its integration with three of the most popular social networking sites today, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Bob likes its beautiful interface that’s practically inspiring you to create beautiful things on it. Designed specifically with the iPad in mind, Paper 3.0 by FiftyThree is available in the App Store for free.
Should you try it?
A must try. Best of all, it’s for free to download.
